Solihull School has appointed a specialist music technician to manage its state-of-the-art £3 million music centre.
Lee Harris, a former IT analyst at DTZ Debenham Tie Leung in Birmingham, has joined the independent school to maximise the use of the technologically-advanced David Turnbull Music School, which opened in September.
Born in Solihull, Lee, aged 37, will be responsible for the facilities at the centre, which include purpose-built classrooms, a computer suite equipped with Apple-Macs, tuition rooms and a recording facility.
Philip Griffiths, Headmaster at Solihull School, which is located on Warwick Road, said: “We are thrilled with this new facility. It has completely changed the way we can deliver music across the school.
“It was vital that we maximised its potential and it was clear that we needed a music technician. Lee was the perfect choice."
