Senior School

Solihull School is divided into four sections, creating smaller units for pupils within the larger framework of the whole school. The Junior School is for pupils below the age of eleven (NC Years 3 to 6). The Lower School comprises the first three years of the Senior School – the Thirds, Shells and Fourths (NC Years 7 to 9). The Lower and Upper Fifth make up the Middle School (NC Years 10 and 11) and the Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth are the Sixth Form (NC Years 12 and 13).

On entry to the school every pupil is allocated to a House: Fetherston, Jago, Pole, Shenstone or Windsor. In the Lower School, Middle School and the Sixth Form pupils are placed in forms directly related to their House for pastoral purposes, although with the exception of the Third Form, a pupil’s teaching group will be different.
