The Art Department is focused on providing a creative environment, where freedom of expression is harnessed and directed by a team of enthusiastic and highly motivated staff who encourage a wide range of activities within an atmosphere of trust and support. The Department feels that Art, Design and Photography play a vital role in nurturing individuality, technical skill and self-expression within the School’s balanced curriculum.
The development of individual artistic identities is based on an understanding of the importance of visual research and practical experience with visiting artists and craftspeople.
Solihull School offers a range of courses, including art and design, photography and three-dimensional design. The school offers GCSE painting, graphic and 3D design, and A Level photography, design and 3D studies courses.
