Universities & Colleges Admissions Service

UCAS logoEach year virtually all of the pupils in the Upper Sixth apply to University or College. While this is a relatively straightforward process, understandably it can be confusing and/or worrying for both parents and pupils.

All applications to UK universities go through UCAS [Universities and Colleges Admissions Service].

Out of 156 pupils at this School who applied to start at university in the autumn of 2007, 145 gained a place, including 121 who got into their first choice university; all of the remaining 11 chose to reapply to go to university in the autumn of 2008.

This section of the school website is designed to give both parents and pupils the advice and help they need to understand the university admissions process. Please refer to the relevant subsection, i.e. either “parents” or “pupils”.
