Tennis
Attention has centered on the success of the U13 Tennis Team, who won the Solihull Borough Championships in the summer term. They have very ably represented the borough in the further stages of the HSBC British Schools Championships, defeating teams from various counties, and eventually becoming West Midlands Champions.
They then went forward to meet the champions of Wales, and were again convincing winners. The next round was the national quarter final, where the team were most unfortunate to draw the champions of the East Midlands, the current national champions, and despite a fine performance we were defeated by 4 matches to 2.
Many congratulations go to all squad members who have trained and played hard and shown great resilience: James Sperring, James Ord, Omar Abdel-Mannan, Thomas Jarratt and Simon Thomas.
