Solihull School

Bushell Hall

Facilities: Bushell Hall

The Bushell hall, named after a previous headmaster of the school, was completed in January 2002. As well as being a beautiful structure its interior is just as impressive. With a full capacity just shy of a thousand and fixed seating of just over 500 the hall can cater for a wide variety of internal and external events.

Full school assemblies have now become possible and with the seating in the three multipurpose rooms retracted extra spaces to hold lessons and exams have become available. The benefits to pupils on drama and music courses throughout the school are obvious, but also pupils learning in other departments, such as design and technology, will get to contribute to productions held in the hall.

The hall boasts a large stage, orchestra pit, back-stage scenery workshop and storage, dressing rooms, a fully functioning drama studio for smaller productions, a music rehearsal room and the latest sound, lighting and video projection systems.
