Sports Facilities
The sporting facilities at Solihull are excellent, with the indoor areas comprising of: gymnasium, sports hall with multi-gym weight training gallery and climbing wall, indoor heated swimming pool, rifle range and 3 squash courts. Outside there are 4 hard tennis courts, a large all-weather play area and a 60 x 12-metre "tartan" multi-event athletics area.
The School possesses over 50 acres of playing fields which accommodate on site: 5 rugby pitches, 2 hockey pitches, 2 Junior School soccer pitches, a grass 400-metre track and 4 permanent cricket squares; these are complemented by 2 artificial and 14 grass nets as well as 4 artificial playing strips.
One mile away, at Copt Heath, the School has another 13 acres of fields, comprising 3 rugby pitches, 2 hockey pitches and a cricket square. There is also a fully floodlit artificial pitch on site incorporating 2, 8x40 warm-up areas. The pitch is used primarily for Hockey in the winter months and in the summer term the pitch affords a further 8 tennis courts and an extensive multi-purpose training/coaching area.
