The Junior School is an exciting and vibrant school which provides a broad and wide ranging curriculum with opportunities for all pupils to achieve their potential. Although we broadly follow the National Curriculum we do not adhere rigidly to this as we seek to offer a wide range of experience and an ever-changing curriculum to promote high levels of academic attainment.

The Junior School prides itself on its excellent academic tradition. Our J4’s (Year 6’s) perform exceptionally well in the 11+ examination, winning over half of the accepted scholarships into the Senior School. Our pupils are also outstandingly successful in the UK Mathematics Challenge. Our children are very mature and confident as a result of the excellent care, individual attention and support which they receive. We have high expectations of our children’s conduct and behaviour, encouraging them to develop strong moral values.

Academic excellence is promoted through small class sizes, specialist teaching and outstanding facilities. We have our own hall, state-of- the- art ICT suite, library, separate CDT, Science and Art rooms.

The school’s aim is to develop the whole person. We encourage a breadth of interest and set high, realistic expectations resulting in a high standard in academics, sport, Music and the Creative Arts.
