Sport has continued to flourish with the involvement of both girls and boys and we have had another very impressive year. We have an excellent record of success for sport, regularly winning competitive tournaments and leagues in football, hockey, netball, cross country and athletics.
Even though we are a relatively small school, we still compete successfully at the highest level and out-perform even the best of local state and independent schools in many sports. The school athletics team not only retained the overall title of champions in the Borough Athletics but also won both the Boys’ and Girls’ individual championships and the Director’s Trophy for the highest ratio of points per pupil.
We believe strongly in developing the whole person, encouraging breadth of interests and setting high expectations in a wide range of sporting activities. We encourage all our children to represent the school at an appropriate level. In this sense, participation is as important as success.
