Welcome
The Middle School comprises the two GCSE years. The core subjects of English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, French, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are taught in sets arranged by ability. There are six sets divided into three bands. Band A comprises the top 50 pupils in the year, and Bands B and C have two sets in each. Set B1 and C1 are of equal ability, as are sets B2 and C2.
Pupils are registered in House Forms and have the same form tutor for both years. The Middle School is run by the Head of Section and he is supported by a Deputy and Heads of Year.
