A-Level Results 2011

Solihull School's Head Boy and Head Girl were among 47 students from the School that achieved at least three A or A* grades in their A Levels.
The independent School in Warwick Road recorded a 100 per cent pass rate for the sixth year running, with an impressive 83 per cent of passes graded between B and A* and 58 per cent between A and A*. There were a total of 400 exam entries.
The 47 high flyers who gained three As or better represented 38 per cent of the 127 candidates that sat their A Levels at the School this year.
Head Girl Emma Johnson gained an A* in Biology and A grades in Chemistry and Mathematics, and will now be going on to read Medicine at Cardiff University.
Head Boy Michael Hawkes will be taking up a place at York University to read Psychology after achieving an A* in Mathematics and As in Psychology and Biology.
Headmaster David E J J Lloyd said: “I am delighted with this outstanding set of results. An overall pass rate of over 80 per cent at grades B to A* is a tremendous achievement and rewards all the hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff.”
