SOLIHULL SCHOOL SIXTH FORM SCHOLARSHIPS 2012

Academic Scholarship Examination: Tuesday 21 February

Solihull School offers a substantial number of Sixth Form Scholarships each year. The number of awards and their value is at the discretion of the Headmaster.

The majority of scholarships are awarded on the basis of written papers.

Candidates taking arts subjects must take a paper from the subjects listed on the application form, plus a General Paper. The General Paper will involve a choice of essay questions on topical issues. A candidate for a Maths Scholarship will take two Maths papers; a Science Scholarship candidate will take one Science paper and a Maths paper. A number of the scholarships are named scholarships, funded by bequest. For example, the top scholarship in Maths and Science is the Ansell Scholarship and the top scholarship for the arts subjects is the Bushell Scholarship.

In addition, there are specific practical scholarships for:

• Art and Design
• Design and Technology
• Music
