Junior School

In the Junior School we recognise the need for each child to become a lifelong learner prepared for the future. We develop and nurture skills such as resilience, mindfulness and growth mindset through our Wellbeing and Personal Development curriculum and assemblies. Our stimulating and enriching academic curriculum helps every child strive to achieve their full potential. Whilst in our Junior School, pupils develop their confidence and develop excellent learning habits, and these are evident in their happy faces and enthusiasm for learning.

The Junior School follows a very similar routine to Alice House; many children are fully involved in the co-curricular life of the school, taking part in a wide range of activities before or after school or in lunchtimes. Competitive fixtures also feature in Junior School and the children enjoy competing against other schools and in inter-house competitions. In addition, there are many opportunities for pupils to practise and develop skills in music, drama and art. Pupils enjoy our large, green site at the Saint Martin’s campus and benefit from our specialist facilities that are bright, stimulating and supported with state-of-the-art ICT technologies to enhance their learning.
