David Lloyd, Headmaster at Solihull School, featured last night on ITV's Central TV talking about mental health issues among young people.

The TV appearance follows a blog post the Head wrote about anxiety, stress and depression among school pupils nationwide. He noted that things such as the fear of failure, modern technology and pupils facing pressures about job security, have all combined to lead to a rise in mental health issues among younger people.

In his blog, the Head writes how he hopes the introduction of programmes such as mindfulness and raised awareness of the issues will help combat the trend.

Mr Lloyd also featured in the Daily Mail earlier in the week. You can read the article here

In case you missed it, here is Central TV's article on Pupil Stress.
