Solihull School

Time Capsule to be snapshot of 2015

A Time Capsule is to be buried underneath the new Sixth Form building.

The plan is for the Capsule to be opened in 2060, on the five hundredth anniversary of the School.

Items chosen to go into the Capsule will represent what life is like in the school in 2015.

John Loynton, Solihull School's Archivist, said: "This is a unique offer to the future generations to help them glimpse our world, and since the opening is only 45 years away, members of the school today will be able to witness the revelation of their own past.

"Progress marches on so quickly these days, just compare the world of 1970 with now. 2060 will be very different but hopefully excited by the voices of fellow Silhillians of long ago."

If you have any suggestions of what should go in our time capsule, please send your suggestions to timecapsule@solsch.org.uk
