Yichen Pan has been awarded a Level 4 Diploma in Music Performance for Piano at the age of just 13.

Lower Fifth pupil Yichen, who is now 14, undertook the Trinity College ATCL examination in June but only recently received her certificate due to pandemic delays.

In addition to her outstanding piano skills, Music Scholar Yichen is also a post Grade 8 cellist.

Mrs Martens, Head of Keyboard said: “Yichen is an absolute pleasure to teach, and I am delighted that her hard work has enabled her to achieve this wonderful result. She is a young musician with a very bright future ahead of her.”

Mr Kermode, Director of Music added: “Yichen is a dedicated Music Scholar who has a real passion for music. Her commitment is outstanding, practising two instruments for two hours a day, and her efforts are clearly paying dividends.”

Yichen will now work towards her LTCL Diploma.
