Following introductory sessions in the Lower School, talented linguists are given the opportunity to study Ancient Greek as an additional GCSE (off timetable). This is a fascinating, challenging and stimulating course covering the Greek language, prose and poetry, with pupils studying Herodotus’ Histories and Homer’s Iliad in the original Greek.  Recent results have been superlative, with 100% of pupils achieving top grades at GCSE and many going on to further study in this area.
