Children may join the Nursery in September following their third birthday.
Children are required to attend the Morning Session each day (Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 12pm) during the academic year and from the October half term it will also be compulsory for children to attend the Lunchtime Session (12pm - 1pm) each day for the remainder of the academic year. These sessions include a mid-morning snack and lunch for the children. The Morning Session includes the 15 hours government entitlement.
Additionally, during the summer term children will also be required to attend a minimum of two full days per week to further prepare them for a smooth transition to Reception. You may wish to choose additional sessions over and above the minimum requirements.
Places in Nursery are offered in the order in which completed registrations are received, subject to an informal (observational) assessment, reference(s) where appropriate and a meeting with the Head or delegate thereof.
Following admission, further ongoing informal assessments will take place throughout the Nursery year to ensure that Solihull is the right school for your son or daughter. Parents/guardians will be notified during the Christmas term if there are any immediate concerns.
Fees per session - to be confirmed - are inclusive of mid-morning snack and lunch as appropriate.

Please note that all children must be toilet trained prior to starting.

INFANT 1
Places in Infant 1 are offered in the order in which completed registrations are received, subject to a family visit, school tour, informal assessment, reference(s) and a meeting with the Head or delegate thereof.
Following admission, further ongoing informal assessments will take place throughout Infant 1 to ensure that Solihull is the right school for your son or daughter.
Infant 2 (6+)
For those children hoping to join us in Infant 2, they must perform sufficiently well in the 6+ assessment and have supportive reference(s) from their current school.
Subject to confirmation by the Headmaster, all pupils in Infants will ordinarily transfer to Junior 1. The Headmaster intends to confirm these places at the same time as he offers external applicants a place following our 7+ exam. Offers of places in J1 are subject to sustained good performance throughout the remainder of Infant 2.
All of our Infant 2 pupils will sit the 7+ entrance examination for benchmarking purposes.
SENIOR SCHOOL
All of our J4 pupils will sit the 11+ entrance examination, regardless of their offer status, so that they can compete for academic scholarships and provide the Senior School with useful benchmark information.
For those pupils hoping to join us in the Third Form (Year 7), they must perform sufficiently well in the 11+ examination and have supportive references from their current school.

SIXTH FORM
In the case of students entering the Sixth Form from other schools, admission is based on interview, reference and GCSE results.
Entry requirements, details regarding subjects and specific subject hurdles may be found in Subject Choices.
A minimum of two Grade 7s and four Grade 6s at GCSE, including Grade 6s in English and Mathematics is required.
GENERAL ADMISSIONS INFORMATION
Our main pupil intake is the first day of the new academic year every September for entry points Reception to UVI.
Children may join the Nursery in the September following their third birthday and children may join Reception in the September following their fourth birthday.
Other admissions during the course of an academic year are by special arrangement with the Headmaster. However, we do not admit pupils during the course of the academic year from Lower Fifth to Upper Sixth.
Parents seeking the admission of their sons or daughters are asked to complete the appropriate registration form, which you can download below in PDF format.
When a place is offered to an applicant, parents are asked to confirm acceptance and to send a confirmation of entry fee. All pupils who are awarded a place are expected to stay until they are at least 16.
All admissions procedures are subject to regular review and may change at any time at the discretion of the Headmaster.
